Higher Education Experience

· ADMISSIONS ·

Knowledge of the cyclical admission and registration processes, respond to inquiries from students (internal and external) in compliance with FIPPA regulations regarding applications for full-time and part-time programs, ensuring timely responses and decisions.

Evaluate transcripts and academic documents (Ontario, Out-of-Province, International Secondary School, College, and University) for program eligibility. Verify program-specific requirements are met and records Departmental decisions.

Administer and interpret Federal, Provincial, and School policies and procedures, identify any errors or omissions and correct and/or contact student for clarification.

· FINANCIAL AID, BURSARIES & AWARDS ·

Review and adjudicate student applications for financial assistance from various Tuition Set-Aside, donor and school-funded bursary and award opportunities.  Identify any errors or omissions and correct and/or contact student for clarification. Cross-reference student information with in-house systems, OSAP, and academic departments for accuracy.

· STUDENT ACCOUNTS ·

Knowledge of all areas of student finance including tuition and ancillary fee billing, payment allocation, processing of course withdrawals, residence/meal plan charges, and applying financial aid and scholarship awards.

Respond to tuition account inquiries from students, parents, administration, faculty, sponsors, and external scholarship providers.

Accounts receivable management, follow up on payment plans, identify and refer students in need for financial aid.
